The pandemic unveiled how prominent access to care is for a lot of people. Every person regardless of background, economic status, race, gender, etc. deserves to have their health needs met. Improving healthcare access and transforming systems of care is a passion of mine and it is a privilege to serve my community.

I appreciate Dignity Health for supporting mission-driven leaders that are focused on making an impact in the community. It is an honor to be a leader in the CommonSpirit Health Southwest Division. These initiatives to improve racial bias and health equity will be the changes we have needed for a long time.

I was honored to be featured as the Women of Community’s ‘Women Crushing it Wednesday.’ Read what they said below.

“Every Wednesday we highlight an amazing Women of Community who has received a shout out.

“This incredible woman is the President and CEO of Dignity Health Arizona Central and West Valley. In her role she has worked with the hospital board to launch a bias and anti-racism training, in addition to creating a community benefit and health equity division to tackle #SDOH and advance #healthequity.

“Prior to moving to Arizona, Gabrielle thrived in C-Suite roles during her 9 year tenure at Tenet Healthcare. Specifically, she beams with pride when sharing how she ran the same hospital, as CEO, where her grandmother served meals to local patients. She ALSO became the youngest female CEO in the Tenet South Florida Group.

“Gabrielle Finley-Hazle has been named one of the most influential women in 2021 by AZ Big Media. She has been recognized by Becker’s Healthcare Hospital Review Top 15 Hospital and Health System Leaders under 40, Legacy Miami Magazine Top 25 Most Prominent and Influential Women in Business and Goldman Sachs Leadership Award.

“For fun, Gabrielle became a volunteer firefighter to get hand on experience in the field and challenged herself to run a marathon.”

About Gabrielle Finley-Hazle: Gabrielle is a proactive change agent in health leadership.
